Noteworthy #021:Marc Jacobs To Launch New Fragrance

A lot of things have been going on in the fashion industry lately. Dolce & Gabbana were found, yet again, guilty for tax evasion (although the duo is reportedly planning to fight back…again), Everyone in attendance at the 2014 Met Gala looked wonderful… well almost everyone, and J.Crew CEO Mickey Drexler clarified that the retailer doesn’t have any plans of opening a lower price point store. Boo.

However, despite all of these newsworthy stories, the bit of information I was most excited to hear this past week is that Marc Jacobs will be launching a new perfume this summer named Daisy Dream.

From Honey, Dot, Oh! Lola and of course the original Daisy, I’ve always been a huge fan of Jacobs’ fragrances and their fun and flirty attitude. According to an article published by WWD , Daisy Dream, which will be released this July, shall be accompanied by a TV ad by Jacob’s friend Sophia Coppola. The ad will embody the scent and vibe of the perfume, which is said to be inspired by the original Daisy perfume but with lighter and more summer flower and fruit notes.

Potentially the next “go to fragrance” for the upcoming summer months, hopefully Daisy Dream will live up to the hype and prove to be an excellent addition to Jacob’s perfume lineup.
