Style This Now: Zara Denim Midi Skirt

If you would have told me five years ago that I’d be dying to get my hands on a calf-length denim skirt, I wouldn’t have believed you. Yet, Zara’s Denim Midi Skirt happens to have the perfect amount of comfortability, versatility and fashion-forwardness that has me wishing it was mine. Anne of Green Gables and Laura Ingalls would have definitely been jealous of the sartorial options the skirt provides.

The skirt, which features a slit and a set of pockets, comes together with a row of buttons that fasten up its center seam. The piece is also made from cotton and a small percentage of elastane, which means it’s uber comfortable and lightweight – perfect for the warmer days that are quickly approacing.

How to Style Zara’s Denim Midi Skirt

For something a little more on the feminine side, try pairing Zara’s Denim Midi Skirt with a crop top that hits right at the waistline, which will create a subtle hint of skin. Then, throw on a pair of simple blocked heels and a few bangles. Let a scarf be the shinning star in this outfit by tying a bright handkerchief piece around your neck for a pop of color and a bit of 70s flair.

For those laid back days when you just DGAF, pair Zara’s Denim Midi Skirt with a pair of  classic sneakers, a slouchy tee, shades and a bomber jacket (one of this season’s most popular outerwear trends). The juxtaposition of the casual pieces with the more feminine and structured skirt creates a really cool vibe that’s perfect for visits to the local coffee shop  racking up those Instagram likes.

Just because Zara’s Denim Midi Skirt is, well, made from denim, it doesn’t mean you can’t wear it to the office. Pairing the more casual skirt with more professional pieces like a structured blazer, work-appropriate heels and a classy timepiece, is a great way to make Zara’s Denim Midi Skirt work for the workplace as well as after work drinks. Adding a fun blouse with a pop of color can elevate the outfit even more and make it more “spring.” Have fun with prints when picking one out, and you’ve got yourself a head-turning look.
