Fall 2016 Wish List

In my spare time, between working Monday through Friday, running this site, maintaining a somewhat normal eating and sleeping schedule, and attempting to have a social life, I’ve found plenty of time to peruse sites I shouldn’t be looking at for items that are definitely not in my budget.

What can I say? I’ve been bit by the fall fashion bug, and I can’t help but romanticize obnoxiously expensive cozy knits, boots, and jackets.

Online shopping comes naturally to me, and so does yearning for things that I can’t afford. But in a perfect world, I can afford them. Not only that, but I order them, select same-day shipping, everything fits, and my irrational fear of losing my teeth (idk?) and catching zika subside. This is a “perfect” world after all.

Needless to say, if I literally didn’t have any financial goals, here’s what I’d be putting in my cart for the upcoming Fall 2016 season:

1. Rag & BoneAshton Tailored Wool-Blend Vest

fall 2016

Say goodbye to the sweet and flowy silhouettes of summer with this structured piece from Rag and Bone. This long vest can work well as an addition to your outwear collection or as a layering piece for the office or a coffee date.

2. Proenza Schouler Long-Sleeve Lacing-Shoulder Dress

fall 2016

Playing off of the lacing trend, this dress from Proenza Schouler is chic and fashion forward without being too over-the-top. Paired with short booties or thigh-high boots, chandelier earrings or stacking rings, the dress provides a blank slate to accessorize like crazy.

3. Saint Laurent Rock 40 Heeled Chelsea Boots

FALL 2016

Every fall wardrobe needs a pair of spiffy (yes, spiffy) boots, and these versatile ones from Saint Laurent definitely seem to fulfill that criteria. With a short block heel and a rounded toe, these boots will also be creeping into your winter and spring wardrobe for seasons to come.

4. Missoni Metallic Outfit

fall 2016

Who said everything in my fall 2016 wish list needed to be practical? This metallic number from Missoni is the epitome of luxury knits. Although it may not seem appropriate for a single ocassion, its one of those outfits that you can’t help but resist.

5. Prabal Gurung Oversized Shawl Collar Cashmere Cardigan

fall 2016

And if the Missoni outfit wasn’t enough, this chunky knit cashmere piece from Prabal Gurung will definitely do the trick. Featuring a variety of textures and patterns, this cardigan is a go-to investment piece.

6. Sophie Hulme Mini Box Tote Bag

fall 2016

Fall can be so serious sometimes, right? This mini box tote bag from Sophie Hulme screams personality and shakes things up with its funky key chain and unique hardware.

7. Rag & Bone Aimee Sweater Dress

fall 2016

Another stylish piece from Rag and Bone, this sweater dress is as versatile as it is comfy. Paired with a pair of combat boots and a denim jacket, or stilettos and a trench coat, this dress would be a good addition to any closet.

8.  R13 Oversized Bomber Jacket

fall 2016

Playing off of spring’s bomber jacket trend, this oversized outerwear item from R13 provides plenty of space to layer and will be your No. 1 companion from chilly October nights to the beginning of winter.

9. Cushnie Et Ochs Open Back Sweater

fall 2016

To spice things up, this open back sweater from Cushnie Et Ochs is your answer for those nights when you definitely don’t want to go out, but you also already made plans. Pair it with dark denim slacks or a stretch knit pencil skirt, and you’ll achieve ultimate comfort with minimal effort.

10. Vetements Black Reworked Jeans

fall 2016

Of course, it’s not really a fall 2016 wish list without at least one piece from Vetements, the French brand that took the fashion world by storm last season. These basic, yet not-so-basic, jeans are just the thing you need for a subtly unique twist to everyday dressing.
